November 14, 201015 yr Pen making on the lathe requires a hard durable finish. Many companies sell wax and shellac based finishes that look great at first but wear off quickly in use. To really finish a pen you need something that will last and look good. On my pens I use CA (super glue) and BLO (boiled linseed oil). I learned the technique from William Young. http://wmyoung.proboards.comHere is how he does it. With his permission.
November 15, 201015 yr That is a great video on the CA/BLO finish. Thanks Greg for posting it. I learned to finish mine using this same video. William does an excellent job.
