November 23, 201015 yr My grandson is into spacecraft, flying saucers and the like. So I made him one. It is about a foot in diameter and top speed is a military wood secret. It needed a place to land, so I also made the space port docking stand. Â It is made of Yellowhart Maple and just a tad of Padouk.
November 23, 201015 yr Now that is what I am talking about. Wow that is awesome. I wish I wasn't so old so I could have one. That is really cool. He will have a great time with that. You have taken care of every detail. I love the mix of woods and the way you have put them together. The Paduk rings set off the docking station. I know there will be one proud and cool Papa when he gets this spaceship. Kudos to you!!!
November 26, 201015 yr Geez, that's real looking!!!! Looks almost like the one that dropped me off here!!!
November 26, 201015 yr Hey Mike, Now you have done it, you let the cat out of the bag, for I thought you were from some place far away. Hee Hee. John, we are all kids at heart and we can make and hang them from the ceiling along with the model planes in the family room if you have one. I was big on making model sailing ships for a while but, now I am too busy to work on them I have a 4' one in the attic that I have been wanting to get back to it for about 4 years now and it is still as I left it. Ron, that is a very impressive space ship if I ever saw one. Ralph
