November 25, 201015 yr Excellent Rich! Now, can you elaborate how you posted this home made video on the network? That is most excellent!
November 25, 201015 yr Author I am a member of the free online Photobucket picture hosting site. Photobucket also allows storage of videos. The whole process is very easy. Upload your video to Photobucket. Once it's on Photobucket, just go to the video you want to post. Click on the video and a dialog box opens with some choices of what you can do with the video. One of the choice is an embed link just like you get with the You Tube videos, copy that embed link and paste it into you message. The American Woodworker said:Excellent Rich! November 27, 201015 yr Hey Rich, that is awesome and we now get to hear you speak. I am not sure anyone would want to watch me I am pretty clumsy in the shop. I think I bump into everything. Anyway, that is neat. What kind of video camera do you have. I have been looking at them but just don't know enough to know which one to get.
November 27, 201015 yr Yes this is very cool indeed, I told Rich in a PM that he has spurred the creative mind in me for some video tutorials down the line. How about, How to use a Keller Dovetail Jig. Re-sawing firewood on a common 15" bandsaw. Cutting sliding dovetail joints with the Porter Cable 4210 Dovetail jig. Any other ideas? Live Tool Reviews, from the point the box is opened to the maiden voyage?
November 27, 201015 yr Yea, it could be endless. Video instructions for almost everything in the shop. Video tutorials for how to use the forums. Lots of ideas.
November 27, 201015 yr Rich, what type of mic did you use. Was it just from the camera or did you have an external mic?
November 27, 201015 yr Author John, I don't even have a real camcorder. I made the video using my canon Rebel T1i which has a built in mic. That's the first video I've made. Now let me tell I not much a ham myself. I had a hard time keep the words coming and keeping my hands and arms from flailing about. Rich
November 27, 201015 yr Looked pretty professional to me. I thought you looked like you have been before the camera before. It picked up really good.
