I just wanted to wish everyone here a wonderful and joyous Thanksgiving Day. There is plenty to be thankful for. Even if an American has nothing it is best to have nothing in the greatest country on earth. And that is something to be thankful for.

And thank you to the early settlers who endured the harshest winters, the hostilities, the disease, and the unknown to plant the roots of democracy in the greatest country the world has ever known.

On that note, if you all have time today to get away from the excitement, and you find yourself here on The American Woodworker, might I ask you to enter some tidbits of interesting history regarding our great American Holiday Thanksgiving?
