December 2, 201015 yr Hi John, Andrew my Producer assured me today when they came up to look at another house that we will be doing some work that will be video taped and this is after we get the 1780 house porch veranda done and most likely after the New Year cone in. My attorney who we will be doing the work for will only pay for the materials and a fee for the videoing and she will get some advertising as well for her services. Since my program is going to be a non profit educational organization I am having to be incorporated by the Secretary of the state and then I will have to send the papers to the IRS to be tax exempt. We still will be videoing the construction of the trusses in my shop for the porch job so that when we take them out to install we won't have to be out in the cold for a long period of time. While we are taping the construction of the trusses in the Howe Style of bridge trusses that will more the be strong enough for the new wings on each side of the veranda and will allow us to extend the seating area on both sides of the existing veranda. I will be demonstrating the hand construction of the trusses in the methods that were used in that time span. This way people will get a better understanding on how they were built back in the 1700s. Stay tuned for we will be showing them on You Tube as well as right here on these forums. Ralph P.S. Andrew stated today that my intro video had already over 100 hits on it and he hasn't started promoting me yet.

December 3, 201015 yr Good Morning Jim, I am ecstatic about this whole thing and am anxious to start taping the various videos as we go along and one thing I have found is that it is costing me money that I had not anticipated having to pay to get this show on the way but in the long run it will all be worth it. When we are doing the various shootings of the programs I will not be charging the clients any labor fees but will expect them to pay for the materials and fees for building permits and any other expenses along the way. If you had the occasion to see my introduction video under the last forum on these forums you will understand what I am trying to do. As the old saying goes, "once a teacher, always a teacher." And in my case it holds very true and I would like to get other teachers as yourself to form a group in your locale to help those folks who did not have a chance to learn a trade while working for the factories who left them out to dry so to speak. If we can help only one person to learn a trade it will be all worth it in the long run. I have had the opportunity to teach four apprentices in my shop since I started teaching out of my shop with the last one staying with me for two years. Now he is a foreman in a furniture repair and refurbishing company in Columbus, Ohio. Ralph
