December 13, 201015 yr I got an order to build a child's step stool. They saw one online at a discount store and sent me the picture.  So they ask me to make a stool like this one. Thankfully they didn't want it painted this way or all of the decals on it. Right now they just want it painted white. I should get it painted tomorrow night.  So here is my version of the stool.   The top step opens and has some storage inside.  Don't pay attention to the wrench holding the lid open  Used Poplar for the construction. Now that my grand daughter has seen it she wants one for her room, so I guess we will get another one done as quick as possible.  Â
December 13, 201015 yr Author They just want it painted white Rich. I think they are still deciding on colors for the room, so I am just doing it white. Richard McComas said:Nice look stool John, you going to paint to match?

December 13, 201015 yr Author Thanks John and John. It isn't anything like a rocking chair though John. John H., that is why my grand daughter and my wife want one. This one is only 12" high.Â
December 15, 201015 yr It look Great and I bet your version last many years longer. You might want to make a few more as I would bet they get more popular as they are showen off.
December 15, 201015 yr Author Thanks Mark. I know I will have to make a few more for the grand kids for sure. Got started painting it last night. Kept the shop warm but won't be able to work out there tonight. Mark Lesch said:It look Great and I bet your version last many years longer. You might want to make a few more as I would bet they get more popular as they are showen off.
December 16, 201015 yr John, we have one in our bathroom so my granddaughter can reach the sink. We got a couple at Big Lots a few years back for $5.  On the steps it says like; This is my little stepping stool, it helps me reach the things I couldn't ................and the things I shouldn't. Yours looks a lot sturdier and I'm sure they will love them. Ron
December 16, 201015 yr Author Thanks Ron,  I think I would have come out better to have purchased it for them, but hey they ask me to build it and that's what we do. It certainly isn't a money maker, but a friend maker.  I am sure their son will appreciate being able to reach what ever he is not suppose to also  Ron Altier said: John, we have one in our bathroom so my granddaughter can reach the sink.
