December 20, 201015 yr comment_51083 Richard, that is a wonderful blog, very well done, the photo essay portion of it is clear and concise, the short movie is great, the instructions are well done, just all around a very interesting blog. I could build a cabriole leg off that blog, great job!I did notice though that the blog is closed to comments, is this on purpose? If so, that is fine, I was just curious. Great job again Rich, and thanks for all your time and effort you put into this. Now I have to look at horizontal boring machines! Just when I thought I had what I needed, you had to go and show off that machine! Report
December 20, 201015 yr comment_51082 Richard, That is one excellent blog. I love the addition of the video and the step by step with pictures is great. Sure makes it look like something one could do. Just as a gauge, roughly how long does it take from start to finish to make a single leg? Report
December 20, 201015 yr Author comment_51081 Thanks for you comments. The blog in not supposed to be closed to comments. I'm not sure how to fix that after it's been published.Rich The American Woodworker said:Richard, that is a wonderful blog, very well done, the photo essay portion of it is clear and concise, the short movie is great, the instructions are well done, just all around a very interesting blog. I could build a cabriole leg off that blog, great job!I did notice though that the blog is closed to comments, is this on purpose? December 20, 201015 yr Author comment_51080 Thanks John, With a little practice and starting with a solid blank a guy can make those in about 2 hours each. That's a fairly short leg 17''. The longer legs could take a little longer. John Moody said:Richard, That is one excellent blog. I love the addition of the video and the step by step with pictures is great.
