January 5, 201115 yr Like others I found out about this forum on the wood forum. Myself, I have been woodworking for +/-35 yrs, but have really gotten back into the sawdust in the past 4 yrs. My interests are mainly furniture. But do on occassion build something smaller. I practically live in my 24x32 shop. I am semi-retired and still dabble in a business I had for 10 yrs. ......after retireing from an oilfield job. Â
January 5, 201115 yr Gary welcome aboard, We love for new people to come on with us and jump right in. That is an awesome looking desk and we love to see pictures of our friends woodworking projects. Thanks so much for sharing.
January 5, 201115 yr Author John,I don't know what the correct name is for that piece, but it is a surround for a lawyers receptionists desk. It was a fun project, and to begin with I was very scared. It is made to break down to be moved, plus, the present side against the wall is only temporary. There is a piece identical to the right side that is in storage till they move to their new facility. It has 7 pcs of book matched veneer in the panels. It's purpose is for clients to be able to sign paperwork............plus be something nice looking when customers come in the door.gary
January 5, 201115 yr Author Naaaa!!! I purchased them from a supply source in minneapolis. The book matched veneer was purchased from veneer supplies and layed up on 3/4 IPB.
