Greetings! This looks like a great new community. I am a lifelong woodworker with diverse projects ranging from furniture to archery bows to stocks for firearms to stringed musical instruments. Of late I've been timberframing, building a small cabin on land we own in Maine. We eventually plan to build a timberframe home and shop and move there. I am currently located in Connecticut. Some of you may know me going back to 1992-94 when I was editor of Fine Woodworking magazine. I was editor when we put Norm Abram on the cover, which remains to this day the single most controversial thing Fine Woodworking ever did. Dontcha love it!? I left there and launched WoodshopBusiness magazine, which was eventually merged with CabinetMaker. Today, I am the editor of CabinetMakerFDM magazine, which is dedicated to helping professional woodworkers succeed whether they be one-person shops or big factories. Too many fine craftsman neglect the craft of business and suffer financially as they carry on their trade. That's what I've been trying to change for the last dozen years or so.

Welcome Will. We are very pleased and honored to have you guys here. Thanks for coming over to check us out, I remember the Norm Abram cover shot! Controversial yes, but know one can deny the influence Norm had with his nail gun, and his ability to do quick "Take Offs" of wonderful pieces of Americana found in the local antique shops. He brought the world of woodworking to the everyday Joe, and for that, I think the cover shot on FWW Mag was the correct choice.

I saw the pics of your work, and I love the firearms, specially the rifle. I am green with envy regarding your cabin build and shop, a dream come true.
