February 19, 201115 yr I received a work order the other day to build a corner display case for one of our schools. It will measure 6' 6'' each way and stand 7' tall. It will have 3 row of glass shelves and two sets of by-passing glass doors. All in all a simple project. I'll build it in two sections and a separate toe kick to facilitate moving it from the shop to the school. Once finished I'll set the toe kick, set the left cabinet on the toe kick and then slide the right side into the left side. It's mostly put together with Festool Dominoes.  Rich Â
February 20, 201115 yr That's a real big unit . That will be one big span for glass shelves . Glad your keeping busy. Good job on this unit. Jim
February 20, 201115 yr Author The glass will be supported every 16'' or so on shelf standards like in the picture. They make these little plastics "thingies" that clip on to the standard.  A-1 Jim said: That's a real big unit . That will be one big span for glass shelves . Glad your keeping busy. February 20, 201115 yr Hi Rich,That is one fine looking cabinet and I bet it was a bear getting it through the door unless you took it in in two pieces and rejoined it at the school. I particularly like the shelf brackets set at 16" on center for you can't be too carful with glass around children. Are the shelves open on the front?
