multiple raised panel sides

Featured Replies

is there a trick to this? I am golden on a single raised panel but I am, well was trying to make a back to a desk, and I wanted  a whole bunch of raised panel.  it did not turn out as I had hoped. is there a trick to this or do I just just need to mess up a few before I get it right? how do you glue all that together?

it was like a 40 door pile up with a a glue truck!  stiles, rails, and the like all over the place!

If I understand correctly if you want multiple panels, raised or flat you make one long top rail and bottom rail. Make how ever many stiles you need. The two end stiles are taller than the middle stiles.

You dry fit everything first , choose an appropriate glue , and some times do things in stages over time .It is possible you may require special jigs  / caulls , etc .Just slow down and think it out before hand !ning-blackoakdoor7-49275-22.jpg

that would be what I was going for, that looks great!   so patience... and skill,.... that would  be what i was lacking.

thanks

The top and bottom rail are 1 piece all the way across, the stiles are each seperate and grooved on both sides for the middle stiles.
