February 26, 201115 yr  For those odd shaped projects that need a special clamp.    Say you have a stool, or a chair that needs the legs clamped in place.    I just go and get a bycycle inner tube.   Wrap it around until almost tight.   Then I use an air hose to add air to the inner tube.    Nice clamping pressure, since most inner tubes can hold over 40 psi.    When the glue is done setting up and dry, I just let the air out of the tube.  Inner tube will then just slide off.     The inner tube won't slide around, and won't mar the wood.  Get a hole in the tube? Just patch it, and keep on clamping stuff.  Easier than trying to use a band clamp.   The only time you would need both hands would be to put air in the inner tube. Â
