I started making the small wooden tiles years ago and then stopped. They sat in my shop since, in a box.  The reason was that I had changed my mind about how to use them and that I was not happy with the color layout. I got them out a while back, gave them a great deal of thought, added more Yellow Hart and Purple Hart in some of the areas and liked what I saw. Then I couldn't decide what kind of table it should set on. My daughter said it would make a beautiful wall hanger. I liked that idea because I can still make it into a table. I was going to apply the 2 part epoxy bar type finish. I decided against that becasuse I wasn't sure how the tile and backing would react to humidity and temperature changes. I applied a semi-gloss finish and it will be a wall hanger...for now.

It is about 20" x20" and I have many types of exotic and domestic hardwoods in it. Most were scraps that I hated to part with and had to find some use for.

Wow Ron, that is beautiful. Your daughter is correct, that makes a great wall hanging. I know it would be a great table top also, but this piece needs to be displayed.
