March 19, 201115 yr I just came in from the shop, I have 4 sets of back braces in the forms now, and 4 sets out. The back braces on the TS I just pulled out this morning. They are made from Claro Walnut and they are to go in the rocker I just started a week ago. The following pic is the next set of backs in the form, they'll be ready to pull tomorrow morning. The back braces in the foreground are for the chair you see to the left, the braces on the TS and in the form are for the Claro rocker. The next pic is just a shot of the Black Walnut rocker in progress and the bench, I like to see what's on folks bench, so I thought it would be interesting to show yall what's on my bench. So there ya have it! Just having fun! Â
March 19, 201115 yr Holly buckets John!!!! I'm studying your glue up............and then I see that "C" clamp!!!!! That is a monster. You don't need to go to the gym to pump iron, do ya??? Your rockers are real eye candy. The gentle curves and perfect transitions in the glueing. Just keep the progress reports come'n. Â
March 19, 201115 yr Awesome work and very time consuming I bet. However, that has to be very rewarding creating a beauity like that. Someday...gonna tackle one of those. Â -Ace-

March 20, 201115 yr Author Hey Ace, I know you can do it, anyone can build one actually when you have a good set of plans like I have by Hal Taylor. Honestly I don't think I could have done it without Hal, his plans are straight forward and he's just a phone call or email away if you have any problems. Thanks for the nice comments Ace Ace HoleInOne said: Awesome work and very time consuming I bet. However, that has to be very rewarding creating a beauity like that.
