As you know I answered your personal message that I printed out the inventory of his blades and will be ordering directly from him from now on. I am wondering if he re-welds blades that break but are still in good shape sharp wise?

Hello Ralph. Here is a link about rewelding your own blades. My stepdad did this for years. He used silver solder. Works fine. Now it is cheaper for me to toss the broken blade and buy new ones. Silver solder is not as inexpensive as it was years ago. Let me know how it works out for you. bob

I had a very nice surprise today for a little after 2:00 P M I received a call from no other than John himself from Woodcraft Bands. He told me to thank you for sending me to him. I informed him that around the first of the month I was going to place an order. I intend to get some 1/4" x .025 x 78 1/4 in the following order 2 4-H, 2 4-S, 2 6-H, 2 6-S and 2 of his new thin kerf blades of the same size in length.

He also informed me that the prices will be going up soon on all blades, so if you want some at the price they are now you might want to pick up the phone.

 

I enjoyed our conversation very much and am looking forward doing business with him. He also stated to me that when I place my order, to tell them that he said to let me have them at todays price since I am a new client.
