This is the latest finished cutting board,  I have several more in the works but this is the only one I've finished lately.  The checkered part is maple, walnut, and cherry with a walnut frame and farmed maple handles.  I've let a couple of people use it as a display for parties but since it's the first that I've framed this way I'm going to keep it until fall to make sure it doesn't move.

 

I like the look but movement within the core would be of a big concern for me also. Perhaps you should consider abusing this board wih lots of water to see if it will cause you trouble?

Look good Joshua. I have seen a few with boarders or frames around them, but I have no idea how they hold up.

 

I'll be interested in knowing how it holds up.
