March 27, 201115 yr I got a few of the knife blades from woodcraft a couple of months ago and started making knives, I've sold these but I haven't made anymore lately. I want to eventually make my own blades. I also make the sheaths for the knives since I'm lucky enough to have a leather shop at the local flea market.       Â
March 27, 201115 yr Hello Joshua,I am an avid knife collector and I feel that your knives would fill in very well with most any collection at any given moment. The sad part is when you make items such as you have done people as a general rule want you to give the knives away for they don't see the work that goes into the making of a crafted piece such as yours. So if you take them to a craft show or flea market get your money's worth out of them. The sheaths you make are an added attraction and they also demand a good price. I particularly like the third knife for it would be a good throwing knife.
March 28, 201115 yr Hey Josh, those are great. You been busy while you were away. Nice job on the knives. I really like them all, but I think I like the third one best.
March 28, 201115 yr Very nicely done Josh. I really like them all especially the Necktie knife. Nice selection of wood for the handles. My BIL makes knives and grinds his own blades and from what he tells me there's a wide open market for them.Keep up the good work!!
March 29, 201115 yr I love it when people recognize great craftsmanship and won't let you undercharge for it. Joshua D. Rollins said: Thanks everyone, I usually sell them on a by knife basis considering how long each one took. The second one pictured I was selling to a friend and told him $45 since it was his birthday, but he gave me $60 anyway.
