My Home Model Project.. Continued.

Today we will look at some images that show the development of the middle part of the Model Home.

The first one shows the start of the Great Room and the wall between it and the Breakfast area.  The Starrett combination square is used to plumb the walls on the resized plans.

Image number two shows the Kitchen side of the walls that separate the Great Room, front Dining Room and the whole north side of the Model Home.  The kitchen Pantry is in the middle of the wall.

Number three shows the open stairway and newel post leading to the lower level.  The railing is not in it's final location yet.

Image number four shows the screened-in porch and the deck that is on the west side of the house.  Not finished (no color or floor yet) and not attached to the house.

Image number 5 (bonus today!) shows another view of the Great Room and Dining Room under +

construction.  Note the angled archways in the Great Room and Dining Room walls.

Movin right along!  Tomorrow, we'll show you some details, including the complete re-sized plans that the home is built on including a very nice somewhat "ground level" image of tne North end of the home.

Boy your making it look easy!!!

Wish it was that easy in real life!!!

Thanks Mike..

One of the things that makes the assembly easy is the re-scaled CAD drawing.  (Complete image of it tomorrow.)  All the right angle corners are ALWAYS  perfect 90 degrees. (If you follow the grid.)

Larry

Neat stuff Larry....... did some of this work back in the 60's in college and when I taught architectural drafting back in the early 70s. Most was done in the somewhat pre-CAD era.

Thanks ~ Dan
