So get your events up there. You can even post non related events, if your into car shows, post it in our events section, other folks on here might be a car enthusiast as well!

Unfortunately, money seems to be in short supply these days and after paying the rent I'm on a TIGHT budget(My pants are 38 but I wear 45!!).

 

In my Woodies group on Facebook is Travis Johnson.  He is a Sheep farmer/woodworker who lives up in Maine and is a GREAT guy.

 

He used to work on the Railroad (literally!!) and then went to work FOR Lie Neilson casting planes!!!

 

Then he did Boatwork and after awhile, settled on Sheep farming.  He's in the middle of a great year of Lambing.

 

I only hesitate to mention this because he cut down a Basswood tree and Milled it for me and I couldn't come pick it up,

(I'm so EMBARRASSED)  due to losing my place, having to put stuff in storage, and moving to the ALMOST worst place  in New Jersey (Yep, right next to Newark)).

 

My word is 99 percent good and it really does pain me to have NOT gotten to go up there and see him.

 

And I owe him a Big Apology. (something I REALLY don't have much practice in cause I usually NEVER have to do it)

 

Heck, I've got a few lie neilson tools (low angle block plane, stuff for my veritas sharpener, Scraper sharpening guides, and other stuff) and could EASILY drop a few thousand (IF I had it, lol) up there in a day.

 

And I've been to Maine and it IS breathtaking, especially the shoreline!!

 

So my answer is YES I'd love to go but Alas, it ain't gonna happen unless I win the Lottery or I can convince  the CEO of this website to send me on a Junket (kinda like the do for the senators and Congressman with a Monster expense account on a Fact finding mission OR an Ambassador of GOODWILL For The American Woodworker to the Lie Neilson factory????).
