April 6, 201115 yr  Starting tomorrow, I will start posting text and images for my Model Shop Project. As an aid in following the progress, here's an image of the CAD drawing I made of my shop 8 years ago.  The images tomorrow (Wednesday) will include the upper left corner walls and the built-in workbench. April 7, 201115 yr Actually I have two. Maybe three. One is right above the workbench, the other ties into the table saw and planer and the third, and ultimate one is the two-filter feed to the HVACs cold-air return system. Another reason is where we live. The West side of the shop is almost in the Fifth Fareway of a Golf Course. About 50 feet away. We want to keep the shack looking presentable.Larrydragon1 said:Why didn't you put the dust collector outside?
April 7, 201115 yr Thought maybe you could put it in it's own little wood shed then run the piping into the shop.
April 7, 201115 yr It gets down to -25 degrees during the winter out here in Ioway. Not to mention the tornadic tendancies.. Larrydragon1 said:Thought maybe you could put it in it's own little wood shed then run the piping into the shop.
April 7, 201115 yr Actually, the three systems I have work very well.  The one that goes through the home's HVAC systems fibergalss filter then the charcoal filter remove the "rocks" and the "smells." Then, the filtered air again goes through an electronic air filter system on the heating and cooling unit. (Furnace for those in Rio Linda. Old Rush Limbaugh thingy..) Larrydragon1 said:Yeah, could make emptying it a pain huh?
