Adding a cleaning brush to your Bandsaw

Featured Replies

Years ago, I bought a new 14" JET enclosed cabinet Bandsaw that I like very much.

The only problem with it was, it did not have a small brush on the lower wheel to remove the sawdust.

Well, I solved that problem by retrofitting a Delta brush to my JET.

Below are the plans to do that to your Bandsaw.  Because the design is so straight forward, I think the method outlined in the plans would work on any Bandsaw.

See what you think..

Now, where does one put such a thing on a three wheeler type bandsaw?  I have a Craftsman 12" with three wheels.    Right now, it runs without the side panel on, and runs just fine thank you, all the dust just goes out that side.

The design  is for a two-wheel, JET or similar design bandsaw.  Not a three-wheeler.

Well, I do have a Delta benchtop, two wheeler.    Might be enough room in there...Smile.gif

Thanks for the post Larry. Your drawing is a great help.

Another inexpensive and easy to install on any band saw is a tooth brush. This one is going on 12 years and works just a well the the factory installed brush on my Agazzani band saw.
