April 11, 201115 yr I'd like to draw your attention to a wonderful lady who produces awesome pieces of woodwork. I have installed a short cut to her blog at the "Featured Blog" box at the lower left of our home page. She is also known as The Village Carpenter. Her work is superb, and I just personally love what she is, and what she does. I have been following her work for some time now. I have uploaded her videos here on The American Woodworker and she has been making some very professional "How To" videos lately. Check her out at on our Home Page or go to her Blog at The Village Carpenter and you can view her You Tube Channel at The Village Carpenter You Tube. I hope you enjoy her work as much as I have, and her taste in music is wonderful. She makes her own hand tools, and she is a big hand tool buff. Here is a quick video of one of Kari's pieces, the German Sawbuck I am always amazed at the talent we have here within our wonderful country,

April 13, 201115 yr Welcome Kari,I watched your video a couple of nights ago and was very impressed with your talent. I think we all tend to learn from each other if we are open minded and it looks like you have a lot of wisdom to offer. I can't help but think back of the couple thousand woodworking students that I had during the years that I taught the subject I still run into some of my old former students. Just a couple of weeks ago I saw a lady in WalMarts in her 40s and could not help but ask her if she took woodworking in High School from an old man by the name of Wyatt and when she finally recognized me we had a good chat. She said that to this day she still enjoys working in her little home shop and with the media of wood.  Please post more pictures and videos of your shop and projects when you get the time. I enjoyed the ones on your web site.  Thanks again ~ Dan
April 22, 201115 yr Hi kari, one of my favorite blogs. I have been following for ages, have always admired the carved oil stone holder you did about a year ago :-) and your letter carving is second to none.
