April 13, 201115 yr First welcome to my good friend Dan Mangile and as mentioned in my comments on his introduction he and Wendell are so humble we might not get them to post many pictures so I happen to have several as Dan Mangile shop is like full of vintage Oliver woodworking machinery.........thus the nickname "Oliverland" ........I suppose you could call Dan .... Olivertwist(ed), but we will let Jim Page or some of Dan' other friends chime in on that idea.  Anyhoos Dan has a super ...... repeat super woodworking shop that I think you will enjoy. He does great machinery restoration work and like Wendell's shops ..........after I visit these gentlemen's shops and fine machinery it makes me want to come home and bulldoze my sheds and sell my Deltas at a garage sale......... ho ho! I am fortunate to have both of them for friends.  Here are a few pics of Dan Mangile's Oliverland.....more to come later.....   Here is Dan with one of his many Oliver tablesaws..........  Left to Right: Dan Mangile, Wendell Lewis, Craig Schultz...........notice the goodies on the upper shelves........have you ever heard of a 3 phase / 60 lbs router?????   Jim Page (green hat) ...........whatdaya suppose he's a thinkin??????      Oliver planer gettin a restoration        Â

April 14, 201115 yr I recognize that place! Dan's not exaggerating, Mangile's got, what 3 or 4 big Oliver Table Saws along with everything else you see there. I was fortunate enough to get the tour last October on my visit out to the heartland. My favorite machine in Dan's shop is an old miter trimmer. I forget who the maker is. Thanks for the tour. Mike ThomasShingle Springs, CA
April 19, 201115 yr Having visited myself, I'll always think of that place as an equipment Disneyland. What,, no pic of the ginourmous disc sander?

April 30, 201115 yr While you were all googoo-eyed over the equipment, you probably missed the walls. Every tongue-and-groove board was machined from lunber shorts like the ones in the stack in the background of a few of the pix.
April 30, 201115 yr Hey Dan, I saw them, and I was just to sick and jealous after seeing the rest of the shop to make a comment. Sometimes I just want to throw all my stuff away and start over!
