Well, at least that's where my shop is at.   I had a couple of hammer heads that needed handles, and a new belt for the sander to wear out.    Got all done.  First, that sander belt:

 

  I set up the beltsander in the vise.  It serves as a "sharpener station".     The sander has a "D" handle that one can adjust to most any angle.   I set it up at 90 degrees, and clamp the "D' in the vise.    A Veritas honing guide completes the set-up:and since there is a bench grinder next door to it, I have a decent sharpening centerI hold the honing guide with both hands, and the belt turns away from me.   Two fingers are on the blade as I sharpen, too hot for a finger, pull the guide off the belt.   I had a few chisels to sharpen up, and a block plane to do:Not too bad?  About those hammer heads, one was a "Cobbler's" hammer, the other was a BIG rubber mallet.   An old lathe chisel handle was redone into a Cobbler's hammer, and a large dowel was made into a mallet handle:

Hey Steve, after you get that chisel down to that point, take a sheet of 120, and hone it down somemore, then go to a 220, then to a 360.

 

You'll see a sharper edge on those chisels.

After  they are done on the 100 grit belt, they go onto an oil stone, still sitting in the honing guide.  Oil stone also has two grits on board.   A few swipes on each, does the trick.

A better view of the mallet's new handle.  Just a 7/8" dowel, shaped to fit the oval eye of the mallet.   A block plane got things close, a spokeshave got the fit about right, and a belt from the belt sander finished things up.  Sanded the rest of the handle for a better grip, and rounded the end a bit.   The other hammer is a shoemaker's  "Cobbler's Hammer".  Haven't decided what it will get used for, but it will deliver a nice hit.  The hammer in the middle is just a normal sized 16 oz hammer, so one can see the different sizes better.
