Dear members of The American Woodworker.

We are now embarking on a name change for our wonderful site The American Woodworker. This has been in the works for sometime now. As many of you may know, our site name has been closely related to American Woodworker Magazine. Some eyebrows have been raised at our choice of names, and some folks have just been flat out confused about whether or not they are on the magazine site, or an unaffiliated site. So to avoid further confusion, and after much deliberation with our Steering Committee. I have chosen to re-name our site:

"The Patriot Woodworker"

The name is secured, there is none like it on the web, and our name is unique and ours solely. In the upcoming days, we will notify all our members of the name change, and when the new name will take affect. This will effect any shortcuts you may have placed on your browser or desktops. Our new url will be http://www.thepatriotwoodworker.com. This new url could go into effect as soon as tomorrow. If you happen to miss the change over, you will be redirected to our site when you try to visit www.theamericanwoodworker.com. So there is no reason to think we're going to loose you.

We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause some of you, I hope you all understand, and I hope you all keep coming back, we need you here, and our wounded warriors need you here for your support.

 

Once again, I would like to thank you all for enduring the new changes that have gone into affect these last couple weeks, between the new direction our forum has taken, and the name change, it has been quite an interesting last two weeks.

Thanks for the confidence guys. Glad you like the name. And Gary, you bet, I actually have a Steering Committee. I have been flying solo since the inception of our site. And during recent events I have decided that a little help would be nice to have in helping me guide the direction of this site. A good cross section of folks who I can bounce ideas off of. Sort of like a gut check for me. But make no mistake, the buck stops with me, so if you all have any ideas or suggestions, or complaints, contact yours truly and I'll get them resolved.
