May 1, 201115 yr To this pen. You see it will leave shortly for Bob Kloes in Wisconsin. Bob offered some of his spectacular off cut in exchanges for some pens. Bob then asked if there was any other thing that I might like. Well I asked for some burl. Friday a large flat rat box showed up. I just had to slab some up and this was inside. It is a gold titanium cigar. 4 coats of thin CA 6 coats of medium and a buff with Kiwi. I'll get a couple more done and send them to badger country.

May 2, 201115 yr WOW The thunk you heard was my head hitting the floor. That is incredible. Thank you Greg! AS for you Rob, well start throwing mugs baby, you need a heck of an arm to get them this far! heheheAt least we make good beer and cheese here. I know, I have had my share of each.
May 2, 201115 yr Bob is getting old...I bet he will lose it withing a week... Â Awesome pen Greg!!!!!!!! Â -Ace-
May 2, 201115 yr Author Thanks all for the compliments! Bob,The burl is absolutely beautiful inside. I have also been trying to turn some of the cherry that I cross cut into blanks. So far the ends have chipped out on every blank. I am thinking of getting a stabilizing outfit and giving that a try. This pen has quite a bit of CA glue used as a stabilizing agent. The ends are the most difficult. Rob,I have a pretty good arm, but getting an accurate throw with a beer mug is going to be difficult. By the way I cut up some redwood at the same time. It is still dripping wet inside. I cut up some blanks and soaked them in DNA. I hope to get some pens from it soon.
May 2, 201115 yr I keep it tied on a string. Of course, I have to remember to tie the other end on to me...... Ace HoleInOne said: Bob is getting old...I bet he will lose it withing a week... Â Awesome pen Greg!!!!!!!! Â -Ace-
