Cedar Chest story, part II

Managed to get out to the shop for a few hours today.Â Â Â I had a couple repair items to glue back up.Â Seems that when the test fit fell apart, a couple grooves lost one side.Â Got those glued back up.Â

Next up some raised panels ON the tablesaw.Â Once the panels were cut to size, a rip cut was done around the edges.Â Â Panel was held vertical, and run through.Â Â Next a re-set of the blade, to 10 degrees, a mark where the first cut stopped, and run that through.Â This did the ends.Â Â The long sides were done with the rip fence:Just take your time to get the layouts right, and you wind up with:These were for the end panels.Â Â Two @ 6" wide, and two @ 5-1/4" wide.Â About 11" long, or so. One end panel in the clamps.Â The raised panels just float along.They will stand a might proud, but that's alright.
