May 30, 201115 yr Those who have the Earthbox Planter System seem to like them. One of the drawbacks of the Earthbox design is their staking system. Most owners of the staking system say say that the design offered by Earthbox is very poor. Comments are on their Forums. We have two Earthboxes. To get a good staking system to support our tomatoes, I designed and built 2 - two tier systems and posted the design on the Earthbox site. Many viewers wanted a higher system so I designed a three-tier one. Both designs are below. Larry   Â
May 30, 201115 yr Great job Larry! This is perfect timing as Tonya is planting tomatoes now. I am going to show this to her and see if this is anything she wants me to build. This is perfect for our small yard we have, we have a small area dedicated for vegetables and this stake box would fit nicely. Thanks Larry!By way, I moved your post to "Plans", hope you don't mind. It's nice to keep our plans categorized in "Plans" for easy referencing and pulling them up at a later date to use.Great job Larry.John

May 30, 201115 yr Note that all the lumber sizes are standard except the gussets, which almost eliminates ripping the stock if you buy standard sizes.Larry
