June 3, 201115 yr Wow, I have had a couple of full weeks at my regular job. I put in 20 straight hours one day, slept about three and then back for a 12 hour shift. With all of that work, no time in the shop. Today is First Friday and I have a craft show to do tonight. I did manage to get my cutting boards finished, so I will have those and a few other small items to setup tonight. Tomorrow will be a busy day in the shop. I have got to get all of the poplar edge banding on the cabinets that I have been working on. I am suppose to find out today about the door hardware so I can pick that up and get the doors made and attached and then it is on to getting some finish on them. I'll get a few pictures up tomorrow when I am in the shop. So how about you guys? What do you have on your work bench this weekend or next week? It is getting hot in the south. Will be mid to upper 90's and high humidity today and through the weekend. Got to turn on the air in the shop if I am getting anything done. So let's hear about what you are doing!!!
June 3, 201115 yr Still working on Mama's curio. The doors and panels are completed and I'm working on the base unit now. Been slow moving on this one. Guess that happens when you're not working off a set of plans. You have to calculate every move. Hope your evening is profitable John.

June 5, 201115 yr In my case it's what's not on my workbench. My bench is clean, clear, not a thing on it..........notta!!!I can't remember anymore how long we have been working on those display cabinets, but it must be 2 months. They are red oak, with a glass front, glass top and a glass shelf. The rear has sliding doors with a drawer in the bottom. The dimensions are roughly 4' wide, 3' high and 2' deep. All 10 of them are finally done and will be delivered this coming tuesday. This was a joint effort of our wood club and donated to the local fair board.I would post photo's, but for some reason I am unable to down load to this forum.Â
June 5, 201115 yr Been a few weeks since I been on here and been busy. Got started on the new shed and got the floor joist done. Also got the back and both side of the house painted. Maybe get started on the front next week. As to what I'm doing this week-end, per my wife say your not working in the yard on Saturday. Ask her why, she says it your birthday. I didn't think about my birthday coming up. Now that being way too busy.  Wayne Â
