June 6, 201115 yr Just got done putting the finishing touches on it, pictures to follow. If you remember, I was asking about Charles Neils procedure for warping a bent door back to mate with the face frame of a case.I double checked the door and it was fine, not warped! The face of the case was uneven. At first I wasn't going to install a door on the case, so with reckless abandon I cleaned up the face of the case with my No4 smoother, not caring about how many millimeters I was taking off because there was no door anyway.Just as I was going to ship off the case, I decided to put a door on it, I built the door, and forgot all about cleaning up the face of the case with a hand plane.Took me awhile to figure it out, but I did, and went ahead and brought the face of the case back into compliance with the same tool that took it out, my No4. Pics are coming.Â

June 6, 201115 yr Shipping is always the hard part. Every time I ship a flag case I white knuckle it until it gets home. Ron DudelstonAbove and Beyond WoodWorks
June 6, 201115 yr I pack the inside with bubble wrap and line the inside of the box with soft sided styrofoam, wrap the whole case in bubble wrap, put a layer of cardcoard on the outside of the bubblewrap and then put softsided stryrofoam between the cardboard and the inside edge of the box. Overkill but it works. So, it is bubble, glass, bubble, cardboard, bubble then foam.
