June 23, 201115 yr Anyone know of a place I can purchase hangars and such for jewelry boxes? I want to install a rotating necklace hanger in my clock case I am converting to a jewelry case. Thanks in advance!
June 23, 201115 yr John, I googled Jewelry Store fixtures and here are a few I came up with. http://www.displays2go.com/Category.aspx?ID=24806 http://infinitystorefixtures.com/ http://www.triodisplay.com/catalog/jewelry-store-c-2539_2758.html They may have something you are looking for or if you contact them, they might be able to put you on the right place.    John MoodyJohn Moody Woodworks

June 23, 201115 yr Just cut a disk from 3/4, drill holes around the perimeter and band saw them open. Round over both sides, including in the opened holes.Counter bore the bottom center for a 1/4-20 bolt and washer and plug. Get a 1/4 id  brass sleeve to cover the threads. Cut a smaller disk.  Round over the perimeter. Could profile it, if you want. Counter bore for a nut. Run the sleeve onto the bolt.Put the end of the bolt through the small disk. Apply Loctite and bolt it all together. Glue in the plug. Glue the small disk to the underside of the top.The Walnut jewelry chest in my pics has a hanger made that way. Works fine.
June 23, 201115 yr Some of the first places that pop into mind, Lee Valley and McFeelys. They both have a wide assorment of all kinds of small parts. Wayne God Bless our Troops and Protect them.
June 24, 201115 yr Woodcraft stores stock everything you are looking for. If there isnt one close to you, they have a great website. Just google them for a store locator. Good luck!
June 25, 201115 yr Author Thanks Gene, great idea, if I don't find one reasonable priced, I'll use your idea, that will work great. June 25, 201115 yr Author Hey Adam, I could only find one on the Woodcraft website and it was the same brass one mentioned earlier in this post. I thought WC would have had a ton more stuff, unless I am not looking in the right place. I'll try again and thanks. Adam Welker said: Woodcraft stores stock everything you are looking for.
