Good morning Friends,

When milling wood through your planer and you notice an incased knot in the board.

What would be your method of eliminating any up coming problems with that particular situation?

Depending on the project-

a. saturate it with CA glue to stabilize it and use it as part of the project or

b. knock it out so it doesn't affect the finished planed board. 

Yep, make sure it's secure, and if it's not, glue before hand in place.

I guess putting it in the scrap pile would not be the correct answer. LOL..

 

Get is secure if you can or put it aside.

Good Morning Fellows,

You are correct in either method you would use for it will surely do damage to your knives if it were to come loose while planing. I simply remove them all together.
