Since the atmosphere at the storage unit is about the same as it is in the shop would you still allow the wood to acclimate to the shop or just go on and start processing the lumber?

I would allow it to acclimate.

Let it acclimate to the surroundings even if they are very similar.

I would let it acclimate to the new surroundings, Similar conditions are different and wood can react to it.

Good Morning Fellows,

Larry, hit the proverbial nail on the head for the wood should have a chance to acclimate to the shop especially if one have air conditioning. Even without AC it is wise to let it lay where air can circulate in and around the boards.
