July 21, 201114 yr Started this morning, and they are done! I discovered a new "instant" way of finishing a pair of Letter Holders the wife wanted. Images of the two finished Letter Holders and Plans are below. Here's how I pulled this poject off in a very short while. Wait till ya see the finish!  Plane down a piece of 3/4" clear pine to 1/4". If you want two Letter Holders like she did, detemine the stock size needed by looking at the plans.  Cut all pieces to size. Using the plans, apply glue and clamp together. Let dry for 4 hours.  Sand well. Round off the top edge of the front piece if you desire. Here's the fun part!  Get a can of Briwax "Teak" wax. Teak is their newest color.   Briwax is a Carnauba/Beeswax formulation in a Toluene Carrier. Their Teak imparts a nice, soft "Old American" color. Apply per the instructions in the Plans below.  Instant finish. I like it! Have fun!         Lare..  Lare..

July 22, 201114 yr Very nice indeed Larry! Thanks for the great instructions, although I must admit, your treading on thin ice with that "Wifey" comment! I have some women in my family that would have your hide before you could say, "To the moon Alice!" Â John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker

July 25, 201114 yr Very nice indeed Larry and great instructions as always. Could be easily modified and made a little smaller for a business card holder. John MoodyJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
