Seeing as this appears to be a small and friendly community I thought I'd introduce myself. I started woodworking several years ago after buying some basic tools to fix up a new house I bought and I was hooked. I've since become a tool junkie and focus my woodworking on designing and building furniture. I will post some photos later. I guess you can call my furniture modern but I build what I find attractive. Woodworking has been a hobby up to this point, but, after being recently unemployed and garnering some inquires from this years San Diego Fair's woodworking competition, I've received my first commissions. At this point it is doubtful that I can earn enough woodworking to make it a career, but it's fun and it helps for the short term. I live in Southern California and I see there are several others here that do as well. I look forward communicating with you guys.
