July 26, 201114 yr Good Morning Friends,When you walk into a room and find that the floor is sloping from the middle to an out side wall, what would be an easy fix with out raising the outside wall which has no doors?

July 26, 201114 yr   Look under the floor for the lolly column.   Lower the column enough so the the middle matches the outside walls.   What is happening is the foundation is settling down a bit.  Lower the height of the column to match.
July 27, 201114 yr Author Good Morning Fellows,Using a self leveling method might work in some areas if the slope is not too much and lowering the lolly posts might make the other floors to slope toward the middle of the house and it would take a while for the house to settle to make the floor level. This method is not a quick cure but, one could rip 2 x 4s from the height of the slope to nothing over the existing floor joists and lay new plywood. Should the new floor get in the way of swinging doors one would cut the bottom of the door/s to allow them to swing properly.
