My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary a few days ago and for a few days we went to the beach. Had to get out of the Bakersfield heat. While there we were cruising some of the local antique shops and I ran into a nice Bailey #6. I was amazed how perfect it was and at first I thought it was new. But after looking a little closer I see it was made in England. The dating info on the English made Bailey's leaves a little to be desired and I am only guessing here but I think its late 60's to early 70's. It is NIB!! The only mark on the plane is where the PO had scribed his name. The sole has not been touched and the blade has not been honed. The handle and tote are perfect. It even came with the box, beat to h*ll but there.

 

That will make a great user plane. Nice size and lighter then a # 7 or 8. Hope you enjoy that. bob

Wow! What an incredible find. I wish I had your luck. I use my fore plane as a scrub and it is one of my favorite tools. That looks like a great user and the condition is very fine. Beautiful plane.
