Green Egg Table

Featured Replies

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of working with one of my sons on a Green Egg table. No it is not from Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham story. The table holds a green egg smoker/grill.

This one was for a very good friend of my son, so he ask if I would help him out with it. It is made of cedar and it cut so the Green Eggs sits down in the table and it sits on a concrete paver on the bottom shelf.

Nicely done, John and Son..

We have a GE too and like it a lot.  It's in it's own stand on wheels that came with it.  Yours has a nice "prep" area.  Well designed.

Where's your beard and mustache?   No ice cream either!

Lare..

Great job John. Nice clean well designed. 41.gif and functional.

God bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.

Wow! Cool John. I have never seen a green egg grill. I Love the way it looks and the big table surface off to the side for stuff.

One thing I can never get over is how much your son looks like you. Spitting image.

Nice nest for the EGG John.  I don't envy the guys that had to place it in it's new home.  My BGE is still in the roll stand.  I have 3 or 4 designs for a nest like you have built but just haven't gotten around to it yet.  Yours looks great.

John Morris.  Once you cook on a BGE you will never go back to a conventional grill.  It is the most awesome cooking machine I have ever used.

Nicely done John. Is the red cedar you used?

I make charcoal from my cutoffs sometimes. Nothing like curly maple and birdseye charcoal. I give some to an artist who does painting for me on blanket chests. Her and her husband have a green egg grill. They love it.

Yes, your son is a spiting image of his dad. bob

Greg, you are correct about the weight. It took four of them to put it in the table. They are very heavy.

Hey Bob, Thanks for the complements. Yes it was Red Cedar that we used. Since it was going to be outside all the time we thought it would look great and hold up to the weather.

Thanks

Thanks John, They are really neat cookers. I don't have one, but have several friends that have them and that is the best. I just go to their house whey they cook out.Grin.gif

That looks great!  Gives the chef lots of work space and storage.

It it can't be fixed with glue and sawdust - it's not worth fixing.

Thanks SQ. It does offer some nice work space.
