Upgrading your 30" table saw fence system to a 50"

Featured Replies

Some years ago, right after JET products became white, I bought a high-end (2 cast iron wings) 30" JET Contractor table saw with the Xacta Beismeyer type fence.

A couple years later, I designed a conversion for the Saw from a 30" fence to a 50" fence, using the same Exacta fence.  This required new rails, right side table and a huge outfeed table.  The attached plans, including an isometric view of the outfeed table will show all the necessary details.  The second attachment shows the completed project.

To get added table space on the left side, I used the existing right side table and made a new, larger right side table.  Then, a full-width outfeed table was made that would support a fully cut 4' x 8" piece of plywood.

After studying the plans and the completed table image, you might have questions.  Two sources for answers:  The Chat Room at night, or larry.jenkins@hotmail.com

The details for all this are included in two attachments to this post. (I hope, thanks to John Morris.)

Lare..

Nice, I sure wish I had room for this or even something half this size.

Very nice Larry. Wish I had the room to add like this. Maybe someday .

God bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.

I really like it. Maybe one day when I rearrange my shop I can get that much room.
