September 17, 201114 yr Here are some personalized magnets I have made in the past.  These make wonderful holiday gifts.   These magnets can be in proportion to each other, or all one size.  These are very well received by grandparents, parents, and even the kids.   Using 1/4 inch wood, take a colored photo (full body works best) and glue onto a 1/4 inch board. September 19, 201114 yr Susie, are you using a photo printed on photo paper? I know that when I make a picture puzzle photo paper works best. Greghttp://www.thesawdustfactory.net/
September 19, 201114 yr Author Greg,Yes, I use glossy photographic paper.  After the magnet is finished, I spray picture, sides, and even back of magnet with a clear acrylic sealer.  It protects the picture and the wood.  Krylon puts out a UV-Resistant Clear acrylic coating in a spray can that works just fine and dries quickly.   However, any clear acrylic sealer in a spray can will work.  With a spray can - there are no brush strokes to contend with.   SQGreg Aksdal said:Susie, are you using a photo printed on photo paper?
