September 21, 201114 yr One can never talk about safety enough when it comes to woodworking tools. Even though you try to be very conscience about your work and working with power tools, the danger is always there. It don't take but a split second to seriously hurt yourself. So, I want to throw my two cents in and remind everone that a very important aspect of woodworking is sharp tools. Sharp tools reduces the drag effect of the steel to wood. Sharp tools speeds the cutting process and reduces the chance of kickback. So take the time to keep a steady rotation of freshly sharpened saw blades, chisels, and bits handy in your shop.
