October 8, 201114 yr  due to an entertainment center being to big/heavy to move to the new house, I have a new Table to build. To house the TV and all the other stuff.  Since I have a nice supply of barn wood, maybe a Mission Style sort of thing will work. I went out and milled a few boards down to start the buiild with, Some 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x38" for the four legs.   I saved all the cut-offs from the other resawings, and they are about~1/2" thick, by 2" wide.  I also have a few 1xs for the aprons.  A few pictures of where I'm at right now..Stack of slats, on top of the four legs, with some apron stock on the end.another look at some of this reclaimed wood. Used to look like this:and after a little work:After all of this cleanup/resawing and de-nailing my boards, here comes the pole barn's owner with a little bit of HIS lumber.  Resawn from a log or two, plus he has a hickory, and an Ash yet to be sawn up. A look at his little bit of WALNUT:I guess I don't live right... All I get is one of these planks:yep, that reads 14"  A wider view of this 12' long board:It MIGHT clean up alright, we'll see.   Top and shelves for the new table will come from a couple 2xs I have.  All this AND moving day too boot!   'and may the road raise up to meet ye'
