October 27, 201114 yr  As you may have seen on the news, the Denver area got an early winter storm with up to 12 inches in the metro area and much more in the mountains. We got a little over 8 inches, which meant that I was going to stay in my shop. Having just finished the swing rebuild, I have that large swing in my shop and couldn't take it outside. So, I decided to build a replacement squirrel feeder. They are destructive and it took them 2 years to destroy the old one. It was a good small project to while away my time and to do something constructive. This one should last longer, I used some scrap wood, water proof glue and some screws. I don't have the finish, the hinges or latch on it yet. The latch is necessary, they can figure out simple door hold downs and empty it out in a few minutes.

October 27, 201114 yr Very nice feeder. I made some bird feeders out of red cedar a few years back and the squirrels will empty them in a couple of days.
