Mike Rowe did a Dirty Jobs episode that included a shingle mill. It was funny watching him around the machinery and the rednecks were laughing at him. It might be worth a look to see if the episode is available online

No way no how! I wouldn't want the insurance or medical bills the mill must have and to stand that close to those huge blades would make me more nervous than a long tail cat in room full of rocking chairs plus I've installed ceder shake roofs and I hate them with a passion and I wouldn't take part in someone else's misery. Great video though thanks for posting Richard!
