John, these are 3" long by 1 3/16 wide. They are cut from 1 1/4" square stock, the bird is cut from 3/4" square stock. Some people have been using Trustone for the birds, which looks great because of the color patterns. I need to get some spalted maple or some other light colored pen blanks for the birds.
