November 7, 201114 yr Good Morning Friends,I don't know what was wrong with my computer yesterday but I couldn't get it to co-operate with me to write a quiz here on this forum so maybe this one will take care of it.Those of us who live in climates with ever changing temperatures and weather we are looking around to see if there is something we may have missed before the weather turns really cold and we find that there doesn't seem to be much warm air coming from the floor registers as normal. What could be wrong with this situation and what can you do to remedy it?
November 7, 201114 yr I second Charles' suggestions. A few years ago, we had a similar problem. Plenty of air coming out, but it smelled like something had crawled into the duct and died. Sure enough, a rattle snake had done just that. A thorough inspection found no gaps in the ducting. How it got in there remains a mystery. Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' G. K. Chesterton
November 7, 201114 yr I agree with Charles and Gene, and will add sometimes it the simplest things like a filter that needs changing.  Greghttp://www.thesawdustfactory.net/
November 7, 201114 yr Dirty filters? Dirty cold air returns? Switch the whole-house humifdifier damper?Larry
November 8, 201114 yr Author Good Morning All,You all are correct on your methods of securing the pipes and as for me I wrapped the pipes with trunk line covering after taping all joints. In some place it was rather hard for the pipes were so low to the crawl space and I had to dig down to make room to cover some of the pipes. Great answer from all and thanks for your support.
