November 9, 201114 yr Good Morning Friends,I have my pick up truck that I use to haul twigs and yard waste to the transfer station and offer my neighbors who don't have a truck to put their waste in so we can get rid of them in the free gondola they have for just such waste and it helps to keep the neighborhood clean. How many of you can relate to this form of getting rid of yard waste?
November 9, 201114 yr Not me. I compost, mulch or add to the campfire pile all my yard waste. I even go as far as shredding my waste paper/cardboard composting that and tilling that into my garden.
November 9, 201114 yr I live in a rural area of our county, actually most of the county is rural, so the county has dumpsters set up at strategic spots in the county for regular trash. They have several transfer stations throughout the county but since we have nearly 40 acres I normally just dump yard waste in the edge of the woods somewhere on our property and let rot naturally. We can pay a private company to pick up our household trash, but since the dumpsters are only 3 miles away, I don't see any sense in paying someone for something that takes about 30 min. out of my Sunday. When I drove my pickup all the time it was daily because I pass by them on the way to work. It's always good to help offer help to your neighbors, you never know when you might have to ask a favor of them. Greghttp://www.thesawdustfactory.net/
