Good morning Friends,

We have carpet in every room in the house and when a piece of furniture sets for a period of time in the same location and you move the piece it leaves indentations into the carpet where it last set.

What can one do that would help out and not leave a sharp indentation in the carpet?

 

Place a damp towel over the area and iron it with a hot iron.

We use those square or round hard rubber or plastic carpet protector thingies. 

They are ugly, but instead of pointy divots, they live wider divots.

Bingo, on the coasters under each leg which help support the piece and help eliminate the sharp indentations as well as the damp towel and iron or heat gun along with fluffing the nap back up again.
