Good Morning Friends,

Everyone knows that at least twice a year one needs to clean the carpet in the house other than just using the vacuum cleaner. What methods do you use to get this chore done?

Shampooing carpets is one thing we do not do. This is probably due to the fact that we chose to put all hardwood flooring in during our last remodel. This really helped my wife and her allergy's.

We have taken up most of the carpet and put down either hardwoods or ceramic tile, but the area we have we steam clean it when we shampoo.

Good Morning Fellows,

I am about to remove the carpet myself and install the new flooring with the pad under it so the floor seems to float and really give comfort while waking on it. I have checked around and find folks who have installed it and are not sorry they did. So the main thing now is to find the most economical type to install. I am not sure whether I'll do the job myself or hire it done because, we are as busy in the shop as we are at this time of the year.

Ralph we put down the floating hardwood floor and it is nice to walk on and it is also quite. It is not bad to put down other than the up and down and spending so much time on your knees. I was thankful I had two young boys at home that did most of the work for me.
