December 2, 201114 yr comment_37191  A simple table, just TOO simple.  It needs something else, just not sure what.Too plain jane right now..That side apron is a bit fancy, but still just a straight board.  Top is a single piece of Oak, flat sawn at that. Just needs something to set it off.   'and may the road raise up to meet ye' Report

December 2, 201114 yr comment_37193 Dittos, finish it Steve. And if you'd like, paint a 1" black border around the top, but about a half inch from the edge. Let dry and then finish. But it looks pretty dang good as is partner!John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker Report
December 2, 201114 yr Author comment_37192         I have some thin strips of wood, maybe add that along the bottom of the aprons?  Might use a bread board edge as well?  A light stain ( Ipswich Pine) with a few coats of semi-gloss.   Top still needs a good sanding, and then a nice piece of glass to scrape it smooth.  This is my "working weekend", so maybe next week...'and may the road raise up to meet ye' Report
